After a disastrous call in a Division I championship game,  referee Jeff is forced to drop down to lead a Bad News Bears group of refs in a season of high school football. A documentary crew follows Jeff’s fallout and subsequent road back to the NCAA, while capturing the pitfalls and triumphs of leading this band of misfits.
